Liz Jarvis, pictured, has been chosen to stand in the ultra marginal constituency.
In a statement she said: “I am determined to fight for better mental health provision for young people, and against cuts to the NHS. I am passionate about Lib Dem policies on education, the environment, demanding better for our communities, and of course remaining in the EU.”
As reported here and here, other Itchen candidates we know about include the current MP Royston Smith (Con) who will be defending a 31-vote majority, Simon Letts for Labour, Alexandra Phillips for the Brexit Party, and John Spottiswoode for the Green Party.
The Lib Dem candidate for the Southampton Test constituency, which includes St Denys and Portswood, will be Joe Richards.
The full results, reportedly following three recounts, for Southampton Itchen in the 2017 general election were:

Simon Letts - Labour 21,742
Eleanor Bell - Liberal Democrats 1,421
Kim Rose - UK Indepedence Party 1,122
