Enterprise Inns is advertising its Cobden Avenue pub The Bitterne Park to potential new publicans.

A sign outside invites enquiries from those who might run the pub, and it's listed on Enterprise's website.

A regional manager is quoted on the website, saying it's “a busy and lively venue for social drinks, food, entertainment and letting accommodation”.

Gina Coulson took on the pub in 2014, and it received a £180K refurbishment the following year. 

In 2014 the Bitterne Park – known by many as The Bitterne Park Hotel – was listed by Southampton City Council as a community asset, giving groups the chance to bid on the property should the owner ever decide to sell. As such it was only the second listed community asset in the city, following The Bittern Pub in Thornhill Park Road.
