The Pajama Game - NST (7:30 pm - 9:30 pm)
Welcome to 1950s America and the Sleep-Tite pajama factory, where the workers are agitating for a 7½ cent rise. Sid is happy to do exactly as he’s told – until he falls in love with the feisty union rep, Babe Williams. The Pajama Game is a romantic comedy with everything you look for in great entertainment. A touching story, spectacular dance sequences, a parade of interesting characters and an exuberant score packed with musical theatre standards including Steam Heat, Hey There, Hernando’s Hideaway and Once-a-Year Day. Book by George Abbott and Richard Bissell Music and lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross Based on the novel "7½ Cents" by Richard Bissell This amateur production is presented by Southampton Operatic Society by arrangement with Music Theatre International (Europe), and runs at NST (Nuffield) 21 June 2017 – 24 June 2017, evenings only at 7.30pm
