JobsonThursday.co.uk is a not-for-profit Southampton jobs website which is free for employers to advertise and for jobseekers to browse. It’s designed to be simple to use, and displays new adverts every Thursday.

It was developed from an idea by Sam Goold, a Vocational Advisor for Solent Mind, whose role involves helping people into employment. He says he saw the need for a local jobs website which listed real jobs, was not complicated and did not charge. It was built by Joe Chiari, a London-based website developer who also grew up in Southampton.

“JobsonThursday.co.uk does a much better job than other employment websites,” said Sam. “I urge all local employers to use us to when advertising vacancies - not only because it's free but it will help make jobseeking in Southampton a whole lot easier."
