Young people will get the chance to try out a host of new sporting activities on Saturday (April 4) at Bitterne Leisure Centre.
The Centre is hosting a Youth Fitness Academy (YFA) open day, offering young people aged 11-15 the chance to try out various sports and activities such as street dancing, swimming, street sports, body combat, boxing, trampolining, cheerleading and more.

The free open day, from 10am-4pm, will celebrate new funding which has been secured which has allowed the YFA sessions to offer more than ever.
“We need to do all we can to make sure youngsters in the city get the opportunity to get fit and active,” said Councillor John Hannides, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Culture and Heritage.
