Texas hold 'em comes to St Denys

The Junction Inn in St Denys is starting 'Texas hold 'em' poker  sessions on the last Saturday of every month from 8pm, starting in August.

Small stake gambling is now permitted in pubs, with losses capped at around the Ł10 mark.

The pub is also considering the idea of offering a separate taster session so those who haven't played the game before can learn, if there's enough interest.

The Junction Inn recently scooped the 'Best Bar None' award for Southampton Community Pub of the Year.

“We don't specifically target a certain age group, we have a positive awareness and interaction with people in the community, we're actively involved in our community, and of course we do fundraising too,” explained landlord Martin Gentry.
