How to add events to our What's On page

calendar green pixabay 200 whats onSubmit your events to our What's On page. Click through to our simple form and we'll do the rest. We often then pick up on listings for news items and our social media feeds at our discretion, giving them even greater coverage. Many events are free to post - for full details, 'read more' then fill out the form.

It's free to post local-ish community, not-for-profit and cultural events including gigs on our What's On page. Scroll down to send us your event details using our Google form. Please give us as much time as possible, and a minimum of three working days' notice.

But one minute: is your event really commercial?

If you want to list events (other than gigs) that are essentially commercial, then we think it's fair that you make a small donation towards the running costs of the website. Even if entrance is free, it may well still be commercial because you're aiming to make a profit as a result and probably pay yourself. Examples could include a wedding fayre, workshop or regular class.

In this case use the following drop-down form - £4 for a one-off listing (for a single event), or £14 for up to six recurring and otherwise identical listings (eg an event that repeats over a number of days, or perhaps weekly or monthly). Within this price you can also include an image like an event flyer or logo. Please note that if your event is a one-off, you can't have more than one listing as the listings are calendar based.

Just make the payment securely via PayPal with a credit or debit card, and then use the link below to send us the event details.

We may include commercial events on our social media channels at our discretion, but do not guarantee it. For this please see Promoted Posts, which get you a sponsored article, a link in our email digest and social media posts. There's more information about Promoted Posts and online booking here.
