Call for playgrounds facelift

old roundaboutBitterne Park councillor Peter Baillie has said that he and fellow councillor Phil Williams are “vigorously trying to find funding to get the play areas Riverside Park deserves.”

There is strong local concern about the quality, age and variety of the equipment in Riverside Park’s two play areas, and a petition has been recently launched to draw attention to the problem.

If you’re concerned, as well as letting councillors know you can also make your comments at greenstat. The process takes about 15 minutes, and apparently the council have to take notice of responses.
