There was a carnival atmosphere in Bitterne Park Triangle on Sunday as roads were shut and crowds turned out in the sunshine to cheer marathon runners. The soundtrack was a marathon fundraising set from Southampton Ukulele Jam, who had pledged to play for 4 hours, 6 minutes and 8 seconds – the average time to run the London Marathon.
