Using the Main Menu, scroll down to Local Info, and from there you'll see we've added some more sub menu items which are each explained below. You don't need to log in to the site. Do let us know what you think and what else it would be good to include - or exclude, because it's good to keep it simple too.

This is an automatically updated feed from the FixMyStreet website for Bitterne Park ward, which enables residents to log issues of local concern, which are then sent to the relevant authority.  It also tracks responses – or lack of.

FixMyStreet is an independent website, built by the charity mySociety. They wanted to make it easier to report problems in communities, even if you don't know who those reports should go to. To make your own report, start at the FixMyStreet homepage and type in your postcode or a place name. Then put the pin in the map to locate the issue and type a description. Then click to send. For more information see the FixMyStreet FAQ here.

MP Details
This links to a page about the MP for Southampton Itchen, Royston Smith, on the TheyWorkForYou website, and gives lots of information about his appearances, voting record, interests and so on.

MP's recent appearances
This is an automatically updated feed from TheyWorkForYou detailing Royston Smith's appearances in parliament. You can click through for more information about each topic.

Contact councillor / MP / MEP
This is a link to an external page which does what it says on the tin – it provides up-to-date contact details for your political representatives.

SCC FOI Requests
This links to a page on listing recent Freedom of Information requests to Southampton City Council, and the council's responses. It also enables you to easily make your own FOI request, to track progress, and to enable others to also see FOI requests and responses.

This is an existing link to the Community section of our Noticeboard, where you can find details of all sorts of groups and facilities in the area, and add details of your own organisations, from voluntary groups to sports clubs.

How could we improve this area of the site? Let us know what you think and we'll do what we can. But it may not be possible: we'd love to add a feed of all new planning and licensing applications in the Bitterne Park ward, for example, but unfortunately we don't think the data is available is a suitable form.
