Runners approach Bitterne Park Triangle during last year's half marathon
Last year 30 runners took part for Team SSJ, and together they raised over £6,200.
The Southampton charity says the cash had “a huge impact on local vulnerable and homeless people, enabling us to offer greater access to life-skills training, to stop people remaining in the harmful cycle of homelessness and help provide them with skills around budgeting, safety and cooking/healthy eating”.
If you’d like to run with Team SSJ, find out more and fill in the form on their website. A £15 registration fee applies and they ask you to commit to raising some sponsorship.
• If running’s not your thing, there are also spaces available for a charity abseil on August 12 – down Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth! Email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information.
