Bitterne Park Social Club welcome Hazy Days” 70s to present day covers band on Saturday, March 5;, “New Era” make a return to the BPSC on Saturday, March 12 and “Retro Beats” play covers and hits across the decades live on Saturday, March 19.

junction inn signOver the river, The Junction hosts its popular “Folk at the Riverside” sessions every Thursday and on Saturday, March 5 as part of their regular music on the first Saturday of each month have “The Alistair Goodwin Band” playing live.

There's a very busy musical schedule again at The Dolphin throughout March: Sunday, March 6 see “Reckless Daughters” performing a Mother's Day special; Wednesday, March 9 duo “Sue & Danny” playThursday, March 10 it’s “5 Shades of Grey”; Friday, March 11 “Cinnamon Jazz” return and the “Cuckoo band” play live on Saturday, March 12..

There's a DJ night at The Dolphin on Sunday, March 13 with Andy and Jan; on Wednesday, March 16 “Ruby Blue” perform, supported by the “71Chain” as a session gig. On Thursday, March 17 “This way up – BlueJazz” take to the stage and finally on Friday, March 18, “Dust Bowl” entertain. Ongoing regular jazz nights with “Harry Young and the Jazz Club Guys” continue every Monday, and the well received and ever popular open mike nights on Tuesdays also continue throughout March.

Along the road at The Richmond the “Cellarats” play on Saturday, March 5; regular budding singers take on Karaoke on Friday, March 11; the popular “PDS Band” fire up on ,Saturday, March 12 and Johnny Cash tribute “The Smileys” play between 6-9pm on Sunday, March 13, while the “Vinyl Heaven disco” is on Saturday, March 19.

And finally here's just a couple from around Southampton's ever busy music scene over the next few weeks: The Windsor Castle in Shirley High Street welcomes “Mod Town” on Saturday, March 5,, The Platform Tavern, Town Quay hosts “Chicago 9” playing live on Saturday, March 12, and finally, for theatre lovers, the Nuffield kicks off a new season of comedy drama with “The massive tragedy of Madame Bovary!” which runs from Tuesday, March 1 to Saturday, March 19.
