Friends of Cobbett Road Library (FOCRL) celebrate National Libraries Day on Saturday (Feb 6) from 10.30am-2pm with activities for young, and not so young, alike. And there'll also be the chance to discuss your ideas for the future of the library in the light of news that it could be run by Social Care in Action (SCA) when council funding stops.

FOCRL said: “We’ll be celebrating an exciting future for Cobbett, together with Social Care in Action (SCA) and Unexpected Places drama group. Why not come and see what we're up to?
“There will be interesting local history displays, a Libraries of the Future display and also children's activities, including Make Your Own Book and a Story Time with author Sandra Horn. Entrance is FREE and the event is open to everyone.
“There will be tea, cake and other refreshments, and an opportunity to chat with us about your ideas for Cobbett and how you think the community might get involved. If you’re not already a member of the library, we can help you to join. We look forward to seeing you there!”
You can find more information on the Friends of Cobbett Road website and Facebook page.
