Wider Woodmill consultation launched

The consultation about the future use of Woodmill Bridge is again getting off the ground, after a faltering start before Christmas.

Bitterne Park councillors had objected that not nearly enough people were going to be consulted. Now around 6000 people in Bitterne Park will be asked for their views directly. The survey is also already online on the SCC website here.

The options remain unchanged, and are:

1. Install permanent traffic signals
2. Close the road at the bridge except for cyclists and pedestrians
3. Install build outs to restrict the road to the 6`6" width restriction
4. Return to original layout
