The pub says many customers drank outside the property shortly after it opened, and it now enforces a ‘no drinks outside’ policy at all times.
But in its application to vary its licence, the Butcher’s Hook says customer levels have died down to a point where it believes outside drinking can now take place without jeopardising its licensing objectives.
Customers would be asked to come inside at 10.45pm, or finish drinks and leave by 11pm if the pub is full.
