bitterne walk in ctr front illuminated signSouthampton Trade Unionists and Socialist Coalition holds a public meeting on Saturday (Oct 25) at Bitterne Reformed Church, above Iceland at Bitterne Precinct, over plans for the ‘temporary’ closure of Bitterne Walk-in health centre.

"We belive the real causes of this threat to local services is the funding cuts and privatisation of the NHS over recent years," says TUSC on their publicity.

"If there are staff shortages then extra staff must be recruited immediately. If funds are short, then private contracts to companies like Care UK who run the RSH for profit, should be cancelled immediately and full funding to the NHS restored."

The meeting starts at 2pm.
