How about taking a tour around Hampshire, visiting out of the way studios, galleries – even people’s homes to meet artists, view and purchase art work and sometimes have a go, during Hampshire Open Studios which runs (more or less) from August 16-25.

In Bitterne Park there’s an exhibition at the Ascension Centre by the two art groups that regularly meet there, while in the city fine art print workshop Red Hot Press at the Old Cattle Market near Terminus Terrace (SO14 3FE) is running two open weekends, featuring a printmaking exhibition and have-a-go activities and demos, on August 30/31 and September 6/7 from 11am-5pm on each day.
