A strictly fun weekly class at Bitterne Park School combines popular Latin and Ballroom dances with proven fitness techniques – and you can help raise cash towards a school expedition to Morocco while getting yourself in trim.
'Fitsteps' is designed to be fitness that's strictly fun: it's "easy to learn, fun to do, and is a combination of most popular Latin and Ballroom dances, spiced up with proven fitness techniques," according to organisers.
Class members don't need to be able to dance or need partners, but do need to be prepared to sweat.
And apparently, everyone who's tried it has simply "loved it, darling!" – as Craig Revel Horwood might say.
Takings go towards a Year 9 school trip to Morocco in July, for which students need to raise £1500 each. You can read more about the expedition and hear expedition organiser Julia Chilcott-Coombes chatting about the trip on bitternepark.info here.
Cost: £5 per class, or ask about block booking discounts.
Runs term times every Tuesday until at least July. No need to book - just come along.
