Police appeal following fatal M27 collision

A motorcyclist died in a collision at junction five of the M27 at around 6.40am on Wednesday, August 14. The westbound carriageway was re-opened at about 2.30pm. {!jomcomment}

 

The motorcyclist – a man in his 40s – was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of a vehicle has now come forward and an arrest has been made. Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who can help further with their enquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hampshire Constabulary on 101.

Heavy traffic and long delays were reported on alternative routes.

Our sympathies go to the friends and family of the motorcyclist.
