Celebrating authors, books & reading

October Books shop frontIt’s the 16th World Book Day on March 7 – a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and reading, marked in over 100 countries all over the world. The aim is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books by offering them the chance to have a book of their own. Portswood’s independent book shop October Books is offering everyone with a World Book Day token an extra token for another WBD book – check their Facebook page and the WBD website for full details.
