Bike worth £1000 stolen outside Tesco Express

Tesco Express, Cobden Avenue, Bitterne ParkA bike worth around £1000 has been stolen from outside the Cobden Avenue Tesco Express store.

The Boardman mountain bike, which is around 18 months old, belongs to Andrew Stirrat, who says it was taken at around midday on Tuesday, January 8.

It has a large black frame and had a “Cat eye computer” and lights fitted. This is a link to an image of the model.

Mr Stirrat says the lock was on the bike when it was taken. He believes the thief was caught by Tesco’s CCTV, although he says police have not so far released the image.

There is a reward offered for information leading to the bike’s safe return: contact Andrew Stirrat.
