‘Back to Netball’ sessions will be starting at Chamberlayne Leisure Centre and St Mary's Leisure Centre.
Organisers promise fun-filled sessions as part of the successful, nationwide ‘Back to Netball’ programme, which will run for 8 weeks and are ideal for women who have not taken part in netball for a while. Chamberlayne sessions start on Wednesday May 30 at 6pm. Two St Mary's session will start the week commencing June 11: Mondays 12.30pm to 1.30pm and Thursday evenings 7.30 to 8.30pm. Debbie Laycock, Netball Development Community Coach for Southampton said: “Back to Netball is a gentle re-introduction to the sport for ladies of all ages. Sessions are coach-led and will cover the basics from chest passes to footwork. Whether it is about rediscovering sporting abilities you forgot you had, about getting active again or just meeting a group of like-minded ladies, these sessions cater for all abilities. Giggles are guaranteed.” “Re-introducing the sport to ladies who perhaps haven’t played since school is very rewarding. Many have forgotten how much they loved playing, but I am happy to remind them! It’s great for getting fit, having fun and making friends.” Log on to http://www.englandnetball.co.uk/Back-to-Netball for sessions near you or
