Currently our only funding comes from advertising, and although that helps enormously it doesn't cover the time and overheads that are required to run and maintain the sites.

And we'd like to do more: more in-depth coverage of local issues; more local history coverage; and more audio – and perhaps even video – pieces. But putting these together takes an enormous investment of time.

We all know that ‘times are hard’,  but if you would like to support us through a one-off donation or a regular voluntary 'subscription' from as low as £1 a month, this will certainly help. And hopefully it will also enable us to continue to offer independent coverage about issues affecting the local areas.

How to subscribe

Use the PayPal subscription button below, and choose one of the amounts you feel happy with – starting from just £1 a month for a subsription or one-off donation. That's less than the price of many magazine subscriptions or the cover price of some daily newspapers

You can use a credit or debit card – you don't need to have a PayPal account, but if you do have one you can use it if you want to.
