Volunteers didn’t get the chance to finally tot up contributions to the foodbank appeal in the Triangle on Saturday (May 13), but judging by the sea of bags in the Old Chemist back room, Bitterne Parkers had dug deep.

“It went great,” said one volunteer. “It was a lovely sunny day. It was so good to have people just out the blue: they’d obviously seen the posters, the signs … and turned up with just bagfuls of stuff.”
