Reading groups for visually impaired

Do you know someone who’s blind or visually impaired who enjoys reading and talking about books? If so they could benefit from joining a new reading group at Bitterne or Central Library.

They can join in at Bitterne library on a Thursday afternoon or Central library on a Saturday morning to share their reading and listening experiences in an informal and friendly atmosphere. The groups will meet once a month and the first meetings are planned for the end of January.

Talking books, large print novels and listening equipment will be provided free of charge.

Transport to and from the library can be provided for a small fee or they can make their own travel arrangements
