New florist for the Triangle

Tiger Lily shop frontA new florist is opening on Bitterne Park Triangle in what was the picture framing shop, next to Bitterne Balti. The business hopes to open on Monday (November 15).

Tiger Lily, which has had a branch at Butts Road, Sholing for around three and a half years, will bring back flowers to the Triangle after Creative Flowers closed their shop on the other side of the road in July.

Renovations at Tiger Lily’s shop have revealed old tiles and rails for hanging meat from when it was a butcher’s in a previous life; these will be retained as features in the new florist, a staff member said.

Richard Effeny's Picture Framing and Art shop was the last art-related enterprise trading at the Triangle, following the closure of Spice, Picture This and
Public Hangings.
